Question:
I've had a look at the Meter Read Log, and although the modem connected once or twice during the day, for the most part there was a connection failure.

Answer:
I suspect one of the following:
- Out of airtime
- modem/arial tampered with
- network signal strength change on site at the modem's specific location
We have had rare cases were it was a cable fault at a meter. The RS485 network was incorrectly connected: the modem that was also in the cover pushed against it and it made wrong electrical contacts. RS485 network problems are sometimes difficult to find.
