To set up an M590 under cover modem to work with an A2000 or B2000 MicroStar meter, first create an Always Connected Active Etherpad or Always Connected Generic Active GPRS modem, on a free server TCP port with 4 digits (not 5), e.g. 2999

Assuming you need it to connect to your server and your server is at 196.22.139.148 (also assuming an SMS password of 00000000, and APN of internet), you would send the following 5 SMSses:

... or you can set it up in APN mode. The above is for an always connected Client modem connection from the meter to the server, which means that you don't need a private APN, and you can work from a different country.
