Topic 1: How to Add a KWS-303L Modbus Meter

  1. Log in to pnpscada.
  2. On the home page, click Add New.
  3. Select MeterGenericGeneric Modbus Meter.
  4. Add or select the required Communication Device.
  5. Click Next and enter the required meter details then click finish.

Topic 2: Setting Up Modbus KWS-303L Meter Registers
  1. Search for the meter you created.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Open Advanced Meter Settings.
  4. At the bottom of the page, find Number of real time registers to read.
  5. Set the number to 5 and click Submit.
  6. Return to the bottom of the page and enter the 5 registers to read.
  7. Energy (Consumed energy) must always be the first register.
  8. Click Submit to save the settings.
Topic 3: Adding a Generic Modbus Digital Output
  1. Go to the Home page or the overview screen.
  2. Click Add New.
  3. Select RTUsGeneric Modbus Digital Output.
  4. Add or select the required Communication Device.
  5. Enter the required details then click finish.

Topic 4: Add a breaker to the newly created Digital Output
  1. Go to the overview screen..
  2. Click Add New.
  3. Select Contactor → Contactor.
  4. Add or select the required Communication Device (Select the previously created Generic Modbus Digital Output from the dropdown.)
  5. Enter the required details then click finish.

Please note, that the framing on the device we got is NOT 8E1, but 8N1 (9600 baud). The documentation seem to say 8E1. However, your individual device might have other settings, try to check that if you don't immediately succeed.
